Baseball: Former Hawk Dan Wirchansky pitches perfect game for Pace University0

Junior Dan Wirchansky began the 2018 season by throwing a nine-inning perfect game for Pace University in their win against Dominican College.  Wirchansky retired all 27 batters he faced while striking out 16, a career-high.

Wirchansky played one season for the Rockland Community College baseball team. He was named the 2016 Mid Hudson Conference Baseball Most Valuable Player and selected as the co-Player of the Year for the 2016 Region XV Baseball Division II season.  He led the Hawks with 25 RBI and 21 walks while batting .372 and an OPS of .500. He also recorded 60 Ks with 3.21 ERA.
