Men’s Basketball: Ulster moves one step closer to Nationals0

Ulster Basketball moves to 16-9 and one step closer to Nationals after a big road playoff win. The loss dropped Manor to 17-11.

Sophomore Shawn Jansen (Saugerties) came off the bench for 17 points and ten rebounds, sparking the Senators. Ulster held a 45-41 halftime lead and lead start to finish.

Sophomore Alex Karamanos (Kingston) finished with 30 points on 9-13 shooting and 12-16 free throws, and 9 rebounds. Freshman Elijah Barnett (Storm King) finished with 10 points, and Freshman Alex Hanson (Christopher Columbus) had 10 points off the bench.

Ulster will face top-seed Lackawanna CC in the next round on Friday, March 9 at 5pm. The District 12 tournament is being hosted by Lackwanna Community College.
