Men’s Basketball: Ulster wins Districts, heads to D2 NJCAA National Tournament0

Ulster Men’s Basketball will be heading to the D2 NJCAA National Tournament after a come from behind victory Saturday night. It was the third straight road win over higher seeds in the District playoffs for the team this week. Ulster stands at 18-9 while Morris fell to 20-9.

Tyreik Johnson (Kingston) was awarded a Tournament MVP, finishing with 20 points. Shawn Jansen (Saugerties) had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Morris lead 35-31 at halftime, but Ulster shot 50% from the field in the second half to clinch the win.

Ulster finished the 2015 regular season 0-26, as the turnaround continues for the program. The head to Illinois March 20.
