For the first time in conference history, three athletes have been selected as the Mid-Hudson Conference athletes of the week.
Shonyae Edmonds had 22 points on 10-15 FG (67%) 13 rebounds and 2 steals in Sullivan’s lone contest against Onondaga this weekend. Shonyae is currently 3rd in the nation in FG%, 8th in the nation in Offensive Rebounds and 15th overall in total rebounds on the season. This is Shonyae’s third conference athlete of the week honors.
Tayejon Lynch of SUNY Rockland has been selected for his second conference athlete of the week honors this season. In Trayejon’s two games this week he scored 55 points, 13 rebounds, 23 assists, and 5 steals. He shot 59% FG, 56% 3PT, 86% FT. In Rockland’s win against County College of Morris he put up a triple double (36, 10, 10) and scored 19 points with 13 assist in the team’s loss to Erie Community College.
Wyatt Triestman of SUNY Westchester garners his first conference athlete of the week honors. Wyatt had a career-setting week. In a loss against Monroe College, Triestman had a game-high 25 points and 15 rebounds. In a high-scoring loss to Raritan Valley, he had a career-high 38 points and 16 rebounds.
