The award is emblematic of the College that did the best in Mid-Hudson Conference Competition in all sports over the year. Key to the Viking&#8217;s win were first place finishes in Men&#8217;s Soccer, Golf and Baseball. This is the third time that Westchester has earned the prestigious award and the first time they have earned it outright.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOWLING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stephanie Frank<\/strong> (North Rockland High School), a second year bowler for the Vikings was given the NJCAA AWARD FOR EXEMPLARY ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VOLLEYBALL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brulinda Frangaj<\/strong> (RC Ketcham HS) a 2nd year player with a perfect 4.00 Academic Average was given the PINNACLE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by the NJCAA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASEBALL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Meaney<\/strong> (Stepinac HS) a sophomore pitcher with a perfect 4.00 average was awarded The NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Award. <strong>Austin Pollack<\/strong> (Harrison High School) The Region player of the year received the NJCAA Pinnacle Academic Achievement Award and <strong>Gjon Ljucovic<\/strong> (Pelham HS) received the NJCAA Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOFTBALL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashley Viola<\/strong> (Carmel HS) and <strong>Natalie Messina<\/strong> (Walter Panas HS) were given the NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement and <strong>Amanda Bozentko<\/strong> (Yorktown HS) was given the NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>&#8212; Walter Hauck<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALL SPORTS AWARD CHAMPION Westchester Community College has earned the Mid-Hudson Conference All Sports Award for the 2015-16 season.
