Plans are being finalized for the 2011 Region XV Golf Championship Tournament to return to the Town of Haverstraw and the Phillip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course. Under the direction of Town of Haverstraw Supervisor Howard T. Phillips, Jr., and golf course management, Rotella Memorial played host to last year’s tournament. Nassau Community College won the 2010 championship and eventually finished fourth in final NJCAA Division III National Golf Team polls.
The three-day event will begin with a practice round on Wednesday May 11. First round play starts at 11:00am on Thursday May 12, with the second round teeing off at 8:30am on Friday May 13. The winning team and medalist will earn a trip to the NJCAA Division III National Golf Championships,(June 6-10) at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, New York.
