The 2010 Region XV Division III Men’s Golf Tournament will be hosted by Rockland CC and will take place May 4-5 at the Phillip J. Rotella Golf Course in Haverstraw, New York. Eight downstate New York Junior Colleges will compete for a chance to earn a berth to NJCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, New York on June 7-11. Nassau CC won last year’s team championship and will try for four straight titles when they hit the links on May 4. Under the direction of Head Coach Larry DellaAquila, the Lions won the NJCAA National Team Championship in 2007 and 2008.
After Monday afternoon’s practice round, there will be a coaches meeting at the Sanoma Grill (at the course). Tuesday’s first round will get underway at 11am. Later Monday evening, all participants have been invited to the official “Tournament Banquet” at the Sanoma Grill. The Banquet and a “Skills Competition” will begin at approximately 5:30pm. Following Wednesday’s breakfast, second round action will start at 8am. Following the round, an awards ceremony will take place just beyond the 18th green.
