The third annual Mid-Hudson Conference Basketball Tournament will take place this week, beginning with out-bracket games on Tuesday night.
Westchester Community College won the men’s title last year while Orange County Community College won the women’s title. In all, twelve games are scheduled between Men’s and Women’s Tournament. The semi-finals and championship, along with all the consolation games, will be played at Westchester Community College in Valhalla. Tickets are $2.00 for the semi-finals, and $3.00 for Saturday’s “Championship Day”.
Men’s Tournament
“Out-Bracket” games will pit third-seed Sullvan against sixth-seed Dutchess and fourth-seed Orange against fifth-seed Ulster. Both games will be played at the higher seed tonight. Winner of Sullivan-Dutchess game will faced second-seed Rockland at 5pm while the winner of Orange-Ulster game will face top-seed Westchester at 7pm. Both games will be played on Friday, February 20 at Westchester Commmunity College with the winners going on to the Championship game on Saturday, February 21 at 7pm.
Women’s Tournament
Fourth-seed Dutchess will host fifth-seed Sullivan in an “Out-Bracket” game on Tuesday at Dutchess. Winner will face top-seed Westchester on Thursday, February 19 at 7pm in the Women’s Tournament semi-finals round. Second-seed Orange will face third-seed Rockland in the other semifinal match at 5pm. Winners will head to the Championship game on Saturday, February 21 at 5pm.
