The Hawks defeated the Falcons of Dutchess CC tonight 98-86 winning their first home game of the 2011-2012 season.
Five players scored double figures for the Hawks. Sophomore Taj Bridgers (White Plains, Ramapo) led the way with 23 points, Nikolas Perez (Spring Valley, Spring Valley) had 19, Michael Braithwaite (Queens, Spring Valley) and Tommie Starks (Bronx, Tidewater Academy) had 14 a piece and Joel Kukulu (Staten Island, Curtis) had 13 points. Rockland’s big men controlled the boards with Braithwaite’s 15 rebounds along with Kukulu’s 13 and Bridgers’ 12.
Rockland will host the Senators of Ulster next Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 PM in a Region XV and Mid-Hudson Conference Match.
