Rockland CC defeated Manhattan CC 25-14, 25-20, 25-14 in the opening game of a Region XV Double Dual event at Hostos on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Hawks then zapped Globe Tech in their regular season finale 25-9, 25-5, 25-10. Albertus Magnus graduate Theresa Miller tallied 17 aces against Globe and collected 19 for the day. Teammate and Spring Valley High graduate, Khayla Rodriguez had 39 total digs, while North Rockland alum Joan Shurman led the team with a total of 21 kills.
Rockland finishes the regular season with a 13-8 overall record and will participate in the Region XV Tournament beginning Wednesday October 26. Their opponent and site are still yet to be determined.
