Rockland recorded two wins during the Winston Nicholas Memorial Classic held at Westchester Community College this weekend.
On Friday, Rockland faced Sacred Heart JV and won 47-37. Christine Brezovsky scored 16 points to lead the Lady Hawks while Nikki Saponaro contributed 10.
Then on Saturday, the Lady Hawks stunned University of Connecticut at Avery Point, ranked 7th in the nation, 58-49. G.F. Baker graduate Katie Sovak led the Hawks with 15 point while White Plains alum Shawan Crooks added 13 points and 14 rebounds.
The Lady Hawks (5-4), riding on a four-game winning streak, will host the Lady Bombers of Bronx Community College on Thursday, December 15 in a Region XV match.
