The Lady Hawks defeated host Lady Falcons in straight set last night 25-11, 25-19, 25-6. Sophomore Joan Shurman (West Haverstraw, North Rockland) had 6 aces and 8 digs while freshmen Theresa Miller (Suffern, Albertus Magnus) had 7 kills. Setters Marie Lang (New City, Albertus Magnus) and Takako Yano (Japan, Mito) recorded 7 assists and 5 digs.
The Lady Hawks are on a two-game winning streak and will face the Lady Falcons and Lady Vikings in a doubleheader match this Saturday, September 24 at Hostos Community College in Bronx NY.
