The Lady Hawks split their doubleheader match yesterday at Hostos Community College. Rockland defeated the Lady Waves of Kingsborough 25-14, 25-21, 25-13 but loss to Lady Tigers of Fashion Institute 16-25, 17-25, 10-25.
In the match against Kingsborough, North Rockland graduate Cristina Ruballos (West Haverstraw) had 32 digs while Spring Valley graduate Khayla Rodriguez (Spring Valley) had 18 digs. Albertus Magnus graduate Theresa Miller (Suffern) had 11 kills while fellow alumnus Marie Lang (New City) had 29 assist.
In the match against Fashion, Ruballos recorded 27 digs while freshman Sara Rosaschi (Highland Mills, Monroe Woodbury) had 25 digs. Sophomore setter Takako Yano (Japan, Mito) had 19 assists.
The Lady Hawks (10-7) will travel back to Bronx, NY this Tuesday, October 18 to face Lady Caimans of Hostos Community College in a Region XV Match.
