THURSDAY MAY 5 The Vikings swept a Mid-Hudson Conference/Region XV twinbill at Ulster. Wes Albert pitched 8 shutout innings as the Vikes won 5-0 in the first game. Luke McDonald got the win in relief in the second game as Westchester scored in the top of the 11th to win 3-2… SATURDAY MAY 7 The Vikings held off a furious comeback in the last inning to score a 9-8 win over Ulster in the fits game of a home Mid-Hudson Conference/Region XV doubleheader. Luke McDonald got the save… SATURDAY MAY 7 The Vikings finished their regular season with a 7-5 win over Ulster in the second game of a home doubleheader. Rocco Cipriano had a double and 2 RBIs… SATURDAY MAY 7 Due to an eligibility error Dutchess was forced to forfeit their 4 wins over Westchester… The Vikings have finished the season with a 17-3 record in the Mid-Hudson Conference and have won their second consecutive Mid-HUdson Conference Championship and 3rd in the last 4 years and 9th in their history

Westchester is set to host the 2016 Region XV DII Baseball Tournament from May 13 – May 15.


Natalie Messina (Pitcher) (Walter Panas HS) was voted to the first team All Region XV softball. Amanda Bozentko (Yorktown HS) and Lauren DeSouza (Hastings HS) were voted 2nd Team All Region XV Softball. Bozentko was named to the All Region XV Sportsmanship team… Natalie Messina (Pitcher) and Amanda Bozentko were voted to the All Mid-Hudson Conference Softball Team.

MONDAY MAY 2. Brian Crawford (Carmel HS) shot an 82 on the famous Eisenhower Red course in Hempstead Long Island to lead the Vikings in the Nassau Tournament. Brandon DeRubeis (Valhalla HS) had a season best 86 and Roberto Lira (Salesian HS) had a 102… THURSDAY MAY 6TH The Vikings won the Mid-Hudson Conference Tournament at Lochmor Golf course in Hurleyville, NY. The win gives Westchester their first Mid-Hudson Conference Golf Championship since 1987. Westchester posted a score of 358 beating second place Orange’s 362 and Ulster’s 376. Brian Crawford finished with a 78 giving him second place in the conference standings, while Brandon DeRubeis (Valhalla HS) had an 86, Chad Brackenrig (Ossining HS) had 87 and Ralph Hitchen (Salesian HS) had a 107.
