Tommy Poggi of SUNY Westchester and Andrew Reda of SUNY Orange were selected as Mid-Hudson Conference athletes of the week for the week of March 11 – 17, 2024
Poggi hit .400 (14 for 35) with 8 RBIs and 5 Stolen Bases over the Vikings’ 9 games last week. During that stretch he also picked up his 100th career hit. He also pitched 5.1 innings of relief in the team’s 9-8 loss versus DI Polk state in which he gave up 2 runs and struck out 5.
Reda, the freshman outfielder helped Orange go 3-1 on the week. He was 5-14 (.357) with 3 home runs, 8 rbi, and 6 runs scored. Orange swept Nassau and split with CCBC Catonsville for the week.
