Women’s Basketball: All-Conference announced. Deivejon Harris voted MVP0

Delvejon Harris

Deivejon Harris of Sullivan CCC was voted as the most valuable player of the 2022-2023 Mid-Hudson Conference women’s basketball season. The sophomore center was also selected as the 22-23 Region XV DII Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. Harris top JUCO DII nation with 180 offensive rebounds. She was second in rebounds per game (14.3) and third in total rebounds (372) as of March 8, 2023.

Joining Harris on all-conference and all-region team are  Adriana McFadden (Westchester), Brieanna Maple (Sullivan), Barbara Bruno (Sullivan) and Shanice Wilcox (Westchester).

Men’s Basketball: All-Conference Team Announced. Romeo Aquino selected MVP0

Romeo Aquino, SUNY Orange

Romeo Aquino of SUNY Orange was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the 2022-2023 Mid-Hudson Conference men’s basketball season. Aquino average 23.8 points and 10.1 rebounds to lead the Colts to an 8-0 conference record and 29-1 overall record. His 715 total points and 23.8 ppg ranks second and third in the DII (NJCAA Division II).

Selected to the all-conference first team are Jay Alvarez (Sullivan),  Kevin Stein (Orange), Ed Biqiri (Westchester), Darius Boben (Orange) and Tayejon Lynch (Rockland)

Selected to the second team are Kipplyn Richvine (Sullivan), Jaire Curry (Sullivan), Keon Gill (Orange), Diamonte McMillan (Rockland), and Omar Nkonde (Westchester)
