Defending Region XV DIII champions Rockland CC Hawks and Sullivan CCC Generals were included in the National Junior Athletic Association’s Preseason Men’s Basketball Rankings for 2009 – 10 Season. The Generals are ranked No. 6 this preseason after being ranked No. 1 in the 2008 – 09 preseason poll. While the Hawks are ranked No. 12 after winning the Region XV DIII crown by storming back from a 22-point deficit with just under 10 minutes left in the game against the Generals.
