SUNY Rockland Community College’s (RCC) dream season came to an abrupt end Saturday with a 77-62 loss against the College of DuPage in the NJCAA National Tournament Seventh Place game. DuPage outscored the Hawks 46-35 in the second half after leading 31-27 at intermission. The major difference, in an otherwise statistically even contest, was the fact that DuPage managed to convert 13 of 18 free throws, while Rockland shot just 55% (5/18) from the charity stripe.
