Sophomore Dylan Sabia (Mahopac, NY/Iona Prep) picked up his fourth win of the season after pitching seven outstanding innings as the Westchester Community College Baseball team notched its eighth straight win with a 7-3 victory over Dutchess Community College on Thursday afternoon at Dutchess Stadium. With the win, the Vikings improve to 21-9 overall and 8-5 in Mid-Hudson Conference and Region XV play.

It was a terrific all-around performance for the Vikings as eight different players combined for 13 hits, five Vikings combined for seven RBI’s, and six different runners crossed home plate, on top of tremendous defense, and nine innings of outstanding pitching. Westchester scored three runs during both the first and third innings, and one more in the fifth inning to clinch the win.

Roman, who is hitting .433 over his last eight games, went 2 for 4 with two RBI’s and a run scored.
