Game 1: #2 Westchester 9, #3 Orange 1 – 8 inning rule
Pat Farina‘s home run highlighted a six-run seventh inning and Westchester pulled away from a 1-1 tie and took the Region XV Tournament’s opening game, 9-1, over Orange. The Vikings, who totaled 12 hits, advanced to the winner’s bracket final on Sunday at 10am. They will face the winner of Saturday afternoon’s Rockland-Sullivan game.
