Baseball: All-Conference Announced. Rockland’s John Daly Named MVP0

Rockland’s John Daly was selected as the Mid-Hudson Conference Baseball Most Valuable Player of the 2019 season. The sophomore center fielder was instrumental in helping the Hawks win 26 consecutive games and go undefeated in regular season play (19-0), both a school record. Daly led the team in runs scored (52) and hits (45) while batting .409 and a .511 OBP.

Selected to the All-Conference first team are Steve Guzman (Westchester), Chris Perich (Rockland), Giovani Diaz (Sullivan), AJ Gonzalez (Ulster), Mike Cox (Westchester), Raymond Pacella (Rockland), Miles Kelly (Rockland), Brandon Kearns (Dutchess), Genesis Nunez (Ulster) and Stephen Greeley (Rockland).

Selected to the All-Conference second team are Bryan De Aza (Sullivan), Dylan Sabia (Westchester), Mike Piscitelli (Orange), Jason Bailey (Orange), Steve Colon (Sullivan), Jordan Kazen (Sullivan), JP Compres (Sullivan), Kevin Franco (Ulster), CJ Spence (Westchester) and Justin Rodriguez (Ulster).
