The RCC Baseball Team, under the direction of Head Coach Joe Zeccardi, have claimed the top seed in this year’s Region XV Division II Tournament. All the action gets underway this afternoon at historic Cantine Field in Saugerties.
The Hawks, the regular season Mid Hudson Conference Champion, will face No. 4 Sullivan today at 4pm. RCC (18-10, 14-4 MHC) earned the tournament’s top seed. No. 2 Westchester will face No. 3 Orange in the other opening round game at 1pm.
The double-elimination tournament will continue Saturday and Sunday.
If RCC wins the tournament, they will host the 3-team NJCAA Northeast District Tournament next weekend (May 10-11).
