Men’s Soccer: Westchester trounced Ulster, win’s fifth straight conference crown0

Westchester broke a 1-1 deadlocked late in the second half enroute to a 4-1 victory over Ulster during the Mid-Hudson Conference Championship yesterday afternoon. The win marked the fifth straight the Vikings has won the conference crown.

Westchester’s Tuane Tapper open the scoring early at the 1:18 marked before Ulster’s Kevin Nunez strike to tie the match at 23:35.  The second half saw a back and forth between the two teams before the Vikings finding a second goal at 81:33 courtesy of Tyrone Malango. Westchester scored two more goals by Tuane Tapper within five minutes to seal the victory.

Westchester will now compete in the 2019 NJCAA Region XV Championship Tournament. Seeded fourth, the Vikings will host #5 Monroe College this Saturday, October 19.
